Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Cuff
About the Item
Victorian Silver bloomed in popularity from 1860-1880 and this elegant, unscathed cuff was made during that period. The center of this cuff is plain with no scratch or dent and that plainness contrasts with the embellished architecural patterns top and bottom. The design though antique is timeless and classic. It is beautiful in its simplicity. At this time hundreds of silver designs were made. Queen Victorian has been in mourning and wore only black with black jewelry. The court and public did the same. Then alas, the Queen gave a necklace of silver to Jenny Lind, a famous singer. Boom went the production of silver jewelry.
